| Scribe’s Journal By Jared Dorland At Red Rock State Canyon, everyone who went had a lot of fun. One of the reasons that we went was to practice our orienteering for the coming Webelos Woods campout at Camp Kickapoo. That’s where we have been teaching and are teaching orienteering again to all the Webelos in the Baden Powell District. We also got a few hours of service time for clearing some brush at a pond. And, as always we went to have fun, which I think we all accomplished. So in short we brushed up on our orienteering, cleared some brush, took many hikes and even got to climb some of the rocks to get where we were going. We didn’t get to go rapelling because we need a little training first. But hey, we have to save something for another campout, right? |
