From the Scoutmaster's perspective: In September, we all got together for Camporee. Unfortunately, I had to miss Camporee. Mr. Mingus, Mr. Brumbaugh, and myself were at Woodbadge Training at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico (tough duty, but someone had to do it). The reports that I got back were that Mr. Lucas did a very good job of filling in for me. Ms. Kirkpatrick cooked wonderful food, and the Troop overall did a fantastic job of working together. The Venture Patrol won two events. There will be another Camporee in the Spring. Hopefully, we can win more events next time. I was really impressed with the reports of how fast camp was broken down. Perhaps we can continue that trend so we have more time for activities on Sunday mornings.
