Happy Father's Day ... you have clean sons

We get up about 6:30.  We have breakfast of store-bought donuts and biscuits, sausage and gravy from Braum's (thanks Mr. Rhoades).  After getting into our Class A uniforms, cleaning up the church and loading our gear, we head off to church services for the 8:45 am worship.

After service, we take final bathroom breaks and load up into the vehicles.

Mr. Whitacre and Mrs. Kirkpatrick turn right instead of left.

Mr. Pearson, Mr. Grimes and Dr. Brumbaugh head out together.  The drive back to Oklahoma City is uneventful, except for a stop in Woodward for fuel, drinks and munchies.

Mr. Grimes and Dr. Brumbaugh arrive at our home church about 2:30 and ... hey, where is everybody?  Don't tell us the "left-behind slow-pokes" are first AGAIN!

Finally ... the rest start dragging in.  Parents start coming and claiming their boys, whether they want to or not.

After unloading the vehicles and trailer, Scouts load up themselves, their gear, their parents and head to their homes and TV and ice-cold soft drinks and home-cooked food and ...

Well, we made it back with everyone (even though our Wayward Scout made it touch and go at times) and didn't lose too much gear.  Perhaps it is a good thing summer camp only comes around once a year.

Some closing thoughts
:

• Keep company with good men and good men you will imitate. (God's Little Devotional Book for Dads)

• Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. (Proverbs 27:17)
