Rest stop to stretch legs on the way to camp. |

Entering Troop 168's campsite at Camp Orr meant passing beneath a
lashed gate framing our troop banner. Considered a "camp gadget" during camp
inspections every monring, the gate added personality to our site. |
 |
Camp Orr provided a luxury Troop 168 normally doesn't enjoy.
Not only did they provide tents, but those tents sat on wooden platforms and were covered
with poly tarps in case of rain (something we didn't have to worry about). |
 |
Because of the heat, the Troop erected dining flys to provide some
shade. Wednesday was "cook in camp" day and the Scoutmaster competed in a
politically-correct cobbler cookoff that evening, so our kitchen setup came in very handy. |

Crew ready to hike to the Flagpole Pine to raise a Troop flag
proclaiming our presence. Chris, Brian, Michael, Steven & Blake wore packs for the
10-mile trek there & back. |

Camp Orr is located in the Ozark Mountains and offers a excellent
facility for the boys. After checking in, everyone changed into swim gear and took a
camp tour before going to swim checks. The chapel offers one of the best panoramic
views in the camp and a great setting for a group photo. |
