The Kiamichi River Wilderness is part of the Talimena Trail
in southeast Oklahoma
We arrived at the parking area at 10:30 pm, unloaded our gear and started
down the trail. We camped after traveling about 1/2 mile. Up at dawn on
Saturday morning we hit the trail after a breadkfast of oatmeal. After three
miles of hiking we arrive at the trailhead.
Hiking single file the trail was level for a while and then started to
climb
