Troop 168 Adult Leaders:

As many of you are aware, we are in the process of updating the adult training records for our troop. We would like for all of our registered adults to complete:

Youth Protection

Fast Start: Boy Scouting

It is important to note that Youth Protection should be completed every 2 years.

The above training courses can be accessed online and completed through a short tutorial. To access the courses, go to: www.myscouting.org. If you have not registered on the website, complete the quick registration and begin the tutorials. If you have not been on the website within the last 3 months, you will need to re-register (they recently updated the website).

There are a number of other online courses that you can take. Courses include:

Troop Committee Challenge

Safe Swim Defense

Safety Afloat

Weather Hazards

If you are a registered adult leader and have recently participated in an online or district training course, please make a copy of your training certificates so that we may update our records. Several have already started turning in your copies - We greatly appreciate it!!

We would also like to update any additional trainings that you may have attended. If you are a Merit Badge Counselor, have attended Scoutmaster Specific Training, Trainer Development Conference, IOLS, OST, New Leader Essentials, Wood Badge, or....(I'm sure I've left something out, but if you've done it, we would like to document it!) please make a copy of your certificates and we will record your efforts.

The next New Leaders Essentials Training for Baden Powell will be held on April 17th. I will send out more information as we get closer to the date. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
